Forehead lift
Forehead lift surgery is designed to restore a more youthful appearance by minimizing forehead creases, drooping eyebrows, hooding over the eyes, and furrowed forehead lines. This cosmetic procedure smooths frown lines by removing excess tissue, adjusting muscles, and tightening the forehead skin. While the primary goal is to achieve a smoother forehead, the eyebrow position may not change dramatically.
Forehead lift surgery can be performed as a standalone procedure or in combination with other surgeries under local or general anesthesia such as upper and/or lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty). Many patients are also suitable candidates for combining a forehead lift with a full facelift or mini facelift for more comprehensive rejuvenation.
To ensure optimal results and clear communication, an open dialogue with the surgeon is recommended. Patients are encouraged to provide front and side facial images, along with their questions and expectations, via email to PAI’s board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeons.

Surgical forehead lift - The forehead soft tissues will be elevated almost as in a forehead lift, along with elevating soft tissues in an area under the hairline to allow the hairline to be pulled forward.
After forehead lift surgery, some numbness and temporary discomfort around the incision is normal and may persist for several days. These symptoms can be managed effectively with prescribed pain medication. Bruising and swelling are common but typically improve significantly within the first week.
Bandages are usually removed one to two days after surgery, and stitches are generally removed 5-7 days postoperatively, though this may vary depending on the patient.
Recovery Guidelines:
Most visible signs of surgery, such as swelling or bruising, typically subside within a few weeks. Minor residual swelling and bruising can often be easily concealed. It is normal to feel temporarily tired or low in energy as your body heals.
Patients are usually very satisfied with their new appearance once the surgical site has fully healed. Many do not realize how much their previous features contributed to an older appearance until they see their refreshed, youthful look.
Proper postoperative care is essential to ensure a smooth recovery and achieve optimal results after a forehead lift.
