Nipple Inverted Surgery / Inverted Nipple Correction
Inverted nipple correction is a procedure for nipples that do not protrude from the breast as expected. Inverted nipples are typically caused by tight or shortened breast duct tissue. This condition can occur on one or both breasts and can affect men as well.
Some women choose to combine inverted nipple correction with other procedures, such as breast augmentation, breast lift, or breast reduction. In certain cases, these combined procedures are performed under general anesthesia.
At Preecha Aesthetic Institute, inverted nipple surgery is performed under local anesthesia as a day procedure by Dr. Burin Wangjiraniran, MD, FRCST, and Dr. Sutin Khobunsongserm, MD, both board-certified in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. While there is a small risk that the nipple may become inverted again, a simple revision can be performed if necessary.

Inverted nipple surgery is a personal decision. You, as the patient, must determine whether the benefits of the procedure align with your goals and if the risks and potential complications are acceptable. PAI’s surgeons and staff will explain all risks associated with the surgery in detail.
Before the procedure, patients will be asked to sign consent forms to confirm that they fully understand the surgery, including potential risks and complications such as discomfort, bruising, soreness around the incision, temporary or permanent changes in sensation, and the possibility of the nipples re-flattening.

Nipple correction surgery (inverted nipple) procedure is performed using a local anesthetic areola and an incision will be made.
The nipple and areola tissue is carefully lifted while keeping it connected to the breast and stitched into a new, protruding shape utilizing a purse-string style.
A small incision as needed to release the tension on the nipple or nipples and allow them to naturally protrude to their normal state.
After the procedure, the area of the incision will be bandaged, so you won’t see the results right away. However, once the bandages are removed, your nipples will be protruding normally, so you will see immediate results.
The area may be swollen or tender due to the incisions, but once the swelling goes down, your breasts will look as they normally do, with the exception that your nipples are in the proper position.
Following nipple correction surgery, this is a minor surgery. You should be fully recovered within two or three days.
There may be soreness or redness around the affected area for a few days and you may wish to sleep on your back for a while because of nipple tenderness but any discomfort should be relatively minor.
Continue to follow our surgeon's instructions and attend follow-up visits as scheduled. Stiches will be removed on day 5-7, after surgery date.

For local’s patient - You may resume to work after a few days but should avoid fast movement during 2 to 3 weeks after surgery date. Stitches are remove in day five after surgery date.
For international patient - Please plan to be in Bangkok at least 7 days. Stitches will remove day five after surgery date. After departure from Thailand, you may resume to work but must avoid fast movement during 2 to 3 weeks after surgery date.
◊ Any bruising and swelling will usually dissipate within one months after inverted nipple correction surgery.
Following instructions inverted nipple surgery is the key to success of your surgery. It is important that the surgical incisions are not subjected to excessive force or motion during the time of healing. The doctor will give you specific instructions on how to care for yourself.

If using credit cards (VISA/Master card), the hospital will charged 3% for international transaction fee. This is only for surgery fees. Hotels are not charged for international transaction fee. An extra charged for HIV is 50% from total cost.
