Nipple inverted surgery or inverted nipple correction is a condition where the nipple does not protrude from the breast as it is supposed. Inverted nipples are caused by tight and shortened breast duct tissue. Inverted nipples can occur on one or both breasts and men can have them too.

Some women who like to combine a corrective nipple inversion procedure with a related procedure like a breast augmentation or breast lift or breast reduction. Within cases, these need to perform under general anesthesia.

Inverted nipple surgery is a personal. Patient (you) has to decide if the benefits will achieve your goals and if the risks and potential complications of surgery are acceptable. Our surgeon and/or staff will explain in detail the risks associated with surgery.

surgical details:

Preparations on surgery date.

  • Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical condition(s), and all medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).
  • No Aspirin 2 days before surgery.
  • Stop vitamin E Oil 1 day before surgery.
  • Stop smoking 2 days and a month after surgery.
  • Tell doctor if you have any serious medical condition(s).
  • Plan to be in Thailand a couple days after surgery or at least 7 days include before and after surgery.

Nipple correction surgery (inverted nipple) procedure is performed using a local anesthetic areola and an incision will be made.

The nipple and areola tissue is carefully lifted while keeping it connected to the breast and stitched into a new, protruding shape utilizing a purse-string style.

A small incision as needed to release the tension on the nipple or nipples and allow them to naturally protrude to their normal state.

After the procedure, the area of the incision will be bandaged, so you won’t see the results right away. However, once the bandages are removed, your nipples will be protruding normally, so you will see immediate results.

The area may be swollen or tender due to the incisions, but once the swelling goes down, your breasts will look as they normally do, with the exception that your nipples are in the proper position.

 

Following nipple correction surgery, this is a minor surgery. You should be fully recovered within two or three days.

There may be soreness or redness around the affected area for a few days and you may wish to sleep on your back for a while because of nipple tenderness but any discomfort should be relatively minor.

Continue to follow our surgeon's instructions and attend follow-up visits as scheduled. Stiches will be removed on day 5-7, after surgery date.

For local’s patient - You may resume to work after a few days but should avoid fast movement during 2 to 3 weeks after surgery date. Stitches are remove in day five after surgery date.

For international patient - Please plan to be in Bangkok at least 7 days. Stitches will remove day five after surgery date. After departure from Thailand, you may resume to work but must avoid fast movement during 2 to 3 weeks after surgery date.

◊ Any bruising and swelling will usually dissipate within one months after inverted nipple correction surgery.

Treatment after surgery
during the first 7 days

Following instructions inverted nipple surgery is the key to success of your surgery. It is important that the surgical incisions are not subjected to excessive force or motion during the time of healing. The doctor will give you specific instructions on how to care for yourself.

  • Dissolve stiches or require remove stiches. But recommend be in Bangkok a couple days
  • No heavy exercise 2 weeks after surgery
  • Scars are usually well hidden and normally fade in time

PAYMENT

The payment can be prepared in Cash by US dollar, Euro, Japanese Yen, Hong Kong Dollar, Singapore Dollar, Australia dollar. If using credit cards (VISA/Master card), the hospital will charged 3% for international transaction fee. This is only for surgery fees. Hotels are not charged for international transaction fee. An extra charged for HIV is 50% from total cost.
