September 13, 2024, at Hanoi National University, the Center for Advanced Medicine – University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hanoi National University, in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Gender Medicine and Hanoi Hospital of Andrology and Infertility, organized the International Conference on Updating New Trends in VNU Sexual Health 2024.

The workshop took place over 2 days, September 13 and 14, with the following contents: Overview of LGBT and transgender needs in Southeast Asian countries and around the world; Development of gender affirmation surgery (GAS) in Thailand; Promoting universal health coverage for gender affirmation care; LGBT status, transgender needs and legal aspects in Vietnam; Model of sexual health clinic.

Speaking at the workshop, this is an important event not only for the research community but also for the whole society, especially in the context of sexual health issues such as gender reassignment surgery, gender identification and sexual health care services are all receiving more attention.
