Arm Lift Surgery (Brachioplasty) in Bangkok

Restore confidence and achieve beautifully contoured arms with Arm Lift Surgery (Brachioplasty) at Preecha Aesthetic Institute (PAI) – one of Thailand’s most trusted centers for cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Arm Lift Surgery, or Brachioplasty, helps reshape the upper arms by removing excess skin and fat. Weight fluctuations, aging, and genetics can cause the upper arms to appear saggy or droopy — a condition that exercise alone cannot correct.

Who Is a Suitable Candidate for Arm Lift Surgery?

  • You may be a good candidate for Arm Lift Surgery if you meet the following conditions:
  • Have a positive outlook and realistic expectations about the results
  • Wish to tighten and smooth the supportive tissue that defines the shape of the upper arm
  • Want to reduce sagging skin that droops downward
  • Desire to remove localized fat in the upper arm region
  • Are in good overall health and free from conditions that impair healing
  • Maintain emotional stability, which is essential for a successful recovery and outcome

Arm Lift Surgery (Brachioplasty)

The arm lift procedure involves surgical incisions, with the length and pattern determined by the amount and location of excess skin to be removed, as well as the surgeon’s clinical judgment.

Incisions are generally placed on the inner or posterior aspect of the upper arm, depending on the surgeon’s preference, and may extend from the axilla (underarm) to just above the elbow. Excess adipose tissue may be removed directly through excision or treated with liposuction.

The underlying supportive tissues are tightened and reshaped using internal sutures. In some cases, the incisions may be more limited based on the patient’s anatomy and degree of skin laxity.

Finally, the skin is smoothly over the newly contoured arm to achieve a more toned appearance.

An extra charge is 50% from surgery fee, if HIV +.

  • CD4 must be 500 +
  • Viral load must undetectable

Results and Recovery After Arm Lift Surgery (Brachioplasty)

The results of arm lift surgery are generally long-lasting, provided that the patient maintains a stable weight and overall good physical fitness. However, as the body ages, it is natural for some firmness to be lost over time. Most of the improvement achieved from the surgery should remain relatively permanent.

Good results are expected, but there is no absolute guarantee. Due to the limitations of skin quality and tissue elasticity, it may not always be possible to achieve optimal results with a single procedure. In some cases, a secondary surgery may be required to refine the outcome.
Following postoperative care instructions is essential for the success of your surgery and to support proper healing.

During recovery, dressings or bandages will be applied to the incision sites, and the arms may be wrapped in an elastic bandage or a compression garment to help minimize swelling.

A small, thin drainage tube may be temporarily placed under the skin to remove any excess blood or fluid. The surgeon will provide detailed instructions on how to care for the surgical site and manage your recovery.

Recovery Timeline for Arm Lift Surgery (Brachioplasty)

  • Normal activities: Most patients can return to light or desk work approximately 7 to 10 days after surgery.
  • Showering: You may shower about 2 days after the bandages are removed.
  • Physical activity: Avoid vigorous activities such as jogging, weightlifting, or any exercise that raises your blood pressure for at least 4 weeks after surgery.
  • Suture removal: Incisions are usually checked, and sutures are removed 7 to 10 days after surgery.
  • Exercise: No heavy exercise for 4 weeks following surgery.
  • Scarring: Surgical scars are generally well hidden and tend to fade gradually over time.
  • Swelling and bruising: Swelling and bruising can be minimized by keeping your arms elevated as much as possible during the first few weeks of recovery.
