Tips to minimize breast augmentation during recovery.

Ultimately, it is up to each woman, along surgeon, to decide what breast implant option will provide the look and outcome desired from the surgery. The procedure technique will be discussed during direct consultation as well as implants locate under armpits, nipples or under breasts, where incision options are appropriate for your desired outcome. Post operative Recovery.
The objective of augmentation mammoplasty is breasts that look fuller and more natural in appearance. Most women undergoing augmentation with breast implant will experience some breast or chest pain post-operative. While pain is normally subsides in most women as heal after surgery.
The day after breast augmentation surgery: Pain is easily controlled by medication usually will subside in a day or two. If dressings have been applied, they will be replaced by a surgical bra in a few days.
Recommend to be prepare to wear loose shirt with front buttons before sutures remove. Sutures will be removed within a week after surgery. Although the surgeon has made every effort to keep scars as inconspicuous as possible, they are the inevitable result of surgery. Minimal swelling and discoloration of the breasts will disappear rapidly.
Tips to minimize breast augmentation during recovery.
Healing process, some degree of firmness of the breasts may occur for weeks or even months following surgery. The surgeon will recommend a program of breast massage to promote softness (practice implant exercises) at one week after surgery or on stitches remover day.
There may be a loss of sensitivity in the nipples following the operation, but in most cases a degree of sensitivity will return.
The decision on when to return to work and normal activities depends on how fast you heal and how you feel. Ideally two weeks off work. Without physically jobs, average time to get back to work is about one week. Women that require physically move carry heavy items may need to wait another week or two.
Avoid over activity and refrain from overhead lifting 30 days to permit proper healing.
Recovery Timeline Breast Augmentation
You are required to stay in hospital private room one night and wear a compression bandage or a special surgical support bra. If a drain is introduced during the surgery, it is removed within 24 hours or before discharge from hospital. The stitches are removed in 7 days after the surgery.
While you are recovery at hotel. Within a few days you may start to shower. Follow up by appointments and remove stitches day 7 after surgery date at Preecha Aesthetic Institute. All transportation services are included from package breast augmentation but hotels must be within driving distance or within 2 KM from PAI’s.
You will be able to resume everyday activities a few days after breast augmentation. But must avoid lifting objects over the head or making fast movements during the first four weeks. If you have small children who require a lot of lifting, you need to plan an additional help during the initial recovery period.
For local’s patient - You may resume to work after a few days but must avoid heavy lifting object over the head or fast movement during 4-8 weeks after surgery date. Ideally ten days off work.
For international patient - Please plan to be in Bangkok at least 9 days. Stitches will remove day 7 after surgery date. After departure from Thailand, you may resume to work within a few days but must avoid heavy lifting object over the head or fast movement during 4 weeks after surgery date. Ideally ten days off work.
◊ Any bruising and swelling will usually dissipate within 2-3 months after breast augmentation.
All dressings and bandages are removed on the third day following the operation. Afterwards, the patient is free to bath as usual.
The patient is requested to gently move the implants upward, downward, and inward in order to decrease the chances of capsule contracture.
Only gentle massaging is recommended. Overly aggressive manipulation of the implant or strong squeezing can possibly cause an inflammation, thus producing an adverse effect on the capsules.
During the first month following surgery, you should exercise your implants three to four times per for fifteen to twenty minutes. After that, if breast contour improves satisfactorily, you will need to exercise only once or twice daily.
Routine mammograms should be continued after breast augmentation for who are in the appropriate age group, when request a routine mammogram, be sure to go to a radiology center where technicians are experienced in the x-ray of a breast with an implant. Additional views will be required. Ultrasound examinations may be of benefit in some cases with implants to detect breast lumps or to evaluate the implant.
