Dimple creation surgery is the procedure involves simulating the natural way. A dimple is forming a connection between the skin and the cheek muscle. When the muscle contracts, it pulls the skin inwards to form a dimple. Dimple creation can be one side dimple or both cheek sides surgery.

Dimple creation surgery is perform at Preecha Aesthetic Institute under local anesthesia (LA) by Dr. Burin Wangjiraniran MD FRCST and Dr. Sutin Khobunsongserm MD. All surgeons are board of Plastic & Reconstructive surgery. To make the final determination of each patient’s eligibility after an examination during direct consultation, the surgeon will mark the skin area to plan placement of dimple.

Once you know your planning date for surgery. Here is the next step:

1. Consultation with us via email for details and procedure
2. Plan your available date to be surgery and departure from Bangkok
3. We will confirm you for surgery date
4. You may start to book your airline ticket
5. We will confirm you all detail and hotel booking, if require
6. For transportation to be pick up from the airport, we can do for you as optional

surgical details:

  • Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical condition(s), and all medications you are
    taking (both prescription and non-prescription)
  • No Aspirin 2 days before surgery
  • Stop vitamin E Oil 1 day before surgery
  • Cosmetics should not be worn
  • Stop smoking 2 days and a month after surgery
  • Tell doctor if you have any serious medical condition(s)
  • Stitches are remove five days after surgery date
  • Plan to be in Thailand at least 2 - 3 days after surgery

The surgeon will explain during direct consultation.

  • The recovery process after Dimple creation is not required an over night. You will receive instruction for during the home care.
  • The first 24 hours, use cold compresses (ice pad) to minimize swelling and help with discomfort.
  • Tiny incisions are usually well hidden and normally fade in time.
  • For full recovery and natural refine, it may take after 2-3 weeks.
  • Day 1 - Consultation and/or surgery at the same time
  • Day 2 - Surgery (if require for the next appointment)
  • Day 3 - Back to work

Dimple creation surgery is a minor surgery and this is an outpatient (day surgery). After the surgery, you are able to return to work at the same day or in the next day.

Swelling and bruising in the cheek area are likely. But resolve two weeks after surgery date.

PAYMENT

The payment can be prepared in Cash by US dollar, Euro, Japanese Yen, Hong Kong Dollar, Singapore Dollar, Australia dollar. If using credit cards (VISA/Master card), the hospital will charged 3% for international transaction fee. This is only for surgery fees. Hotels are not charged for international transaction fee. An extra charged for HIV is 50% from total cost.

Q: Could you please recommend how to eat after dimple surgery?

A: After dimple surgery, you should take small bites with no wide mouth movements and no spicy foods for five days.

Q: How's painful dimple surgery?

A: Some might experience minor swelling in the area and feel the effects of the local anesthesia. However, feeling the effect will pass after a few hours.

Q: Is dimple surgery last long result ?

A: Yes it is. Dimple surgery is less likely move back to original. Still, this can be happen due from stitches, which just need for revision surgery.

Q: Is the dimples there all the time or only when you smile ?

A: After 1-3 month(s), this can see dimple while smiling or without smiling. After 3 months, stitches may loser and possibly unseen without smiling. However, this is also depend on case by case such as muscle + skin by individual person.
