Full Facelift surgery (rhytidectomy) is one of cosmetic surgery to improve visible signs of aging from facial area included jaw lift, cheek lift and neck lift. Signs of aging in over facial area such as wrinkle, saggy, loose jowls, cheeks and neck, a full Face lift surgery may be right for men and women.

Full Face Lift surgery is a technically well known as Rhytidectomy in cosmetic surgery. Full Facelift is a procedure to improve visible signs of aging in the face (Jaws + Cheeks and neck lift).

Method of facelift surgery by SMAS technique is included

  • Tighten sagging in the cheeks, jaws and neck area

To be prepare for a full facelift surgery.

  • Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical condition(s), and all medications you are 
    taking (both prescription and non-prescription). 
  • Prepare question(s) for surgeon.
  • No Aspirin 2 days before surgery.
  • Stop vitamin E Oil 1 day before surgery.
  • Stop smoking 2 days and a month after surgery.
  • Tell doctor if you have any serious medical condition(s). 
  • Surgeon will conduct age, family history, health checks and x-ray
  • Surgeon will discuss other variables that influence the decision involved in the procedure
  • Surgeon will explain the specific details, technique to be used, where the operation will be performed and what realistically can accomplish
  • Stop meal and water starting from midnight before surgery.

Medications are administered for your comfort during a facelift procedure. The choices include general anesthesia. The surgeon will recommend the best choice for you.

A traditional (SMAS) facelift incision is often around the ear and ends in the lower scalp. Fat may be sculpted or redistributed from the face, jowls and neck. Underlying tissue is re-position; commonly the deeper layers of the face and the muscles are also lifted. Skin is over the uplifted contours and excess skin is trimmed away.

Sagging jowls, loose neck skin and fat accumulation under the chin may be corrected with a neck lift. The neck lift incision often begins in front of the ear lobe and wraps around behind the ear ending in the lower scalp. Once healed, the incision lines from a facelift are well concealed within the hairline and in the natural contours of the face and ear.

The visible improvements of a facelift appear as swelling and bruising subside. Your final result should not only restore a more youthful and rested appearance, but also help you feel more confident about yourself.

After surgery, there is some soreness and discomfort which is easily controlled by medication. Dressings commonly are removed in a few days. You will releases in the next day, if admitted to a hospital.

Swelling and skin discoloration are common and usually will subside within a week or two. Many patients report a sense of tightness or numbness of the face and neck after surgery. The intensity of these conditions and how long they will last varies with the individual

The objective of a full facelift operation is to be natural, refresh look attractive appearance. However, normal healing is a gradual process. The final result fully realized for at least three weeks after surgery date.

Normal work can be resumed 7 days after a procedure (desk job). You should be able to shower and wash your hair 7 days after the bandages come off. However, vigorous activity should be limited for several weeks, including jogging, or any activity that increases your blood pressure within one month surgery.

Recovery Full facelift surgery timelines. 

  • Removing incisions 7 - 10 days after surgery
  • No heavy exercise 4 weeks after surgery
  • Scars are usually well hidden and normally fade in time
  • Swelling and bruising can be minimized by keeping the head elevated as much as possible during the first few weeks of recovery

 

SURGERY SCHEDULE

  • Day 0 - Arrival date (check in hotel)
  • Day 1 - Consultation and Prepare for Laboratory Testing
  • Day 2 and 3 - Surgery and one night in hospital private room after surgery
  • Day 3 - Discharge from Hospital
  • Day 3 to Day 12 - Stay in hotel for recovery period and follow up on doctor appointments
  • Day 12 - Stitches removal and final check up (seven to ten days following surgery)
  • Day 13 - Safe to fly (check out hotel)

 

For local’s patient - You may resume to work seven day after surgery but must avoid heavy lifting object over the head or fast movement during four to eight weeks after surgery date.

For international patient - Please plan to be in Bangkok at least twelve days all together. Stitches will remove seven to ten days after surgery date. After departure from Thailand, you may resume to work within a few days but must avoid heavy lifting object over the head or fast movement during four  to eight weeks after surgery date.

◊ Any bruising and swelling will usually dissipate within 2 to 3 months after full facelift.

 

Treatment after surgery
during the first 7 days

  • No heavy exercise 4 weeks after surgery

To permit proper healing, you should avoid excessive exercise and refrain from overhead lifting for there to four weeks.

The decision on when to return to work and normal activities depends on how fast you heal and how you feel.

Q: I had a full facelift 13 years ago in your clinic. I am still enjoying the results to the present day. However, I think I could have a tempel lift (not forehead, only temple). I I would like to have this procedure carried out with local anestesy. Could you please inform me about the price (includuding before and after procedures). and how many days, that I would need to spend in Bangkok from arrival until departure. Please also inform me on how much time before I would need to schedule the surgery with you.

Q: I underwent neck mid face lift with Dr Preecha 17 years ago. Time marches on and need another neck face lift. I also would like to have my breasts (with implants) reduced and lifted. Most likely will need new smaller implants. I would like to know if it is possible and Safe to do both procedures at on time under one anesthesia,?

A: Yes. These procedures can be perform at the same time, if you are in good health condition which also need to be approve during health exams before surgery. If not, these procedures can be perform in one trip. But separate day.
