Preparing for Temporal Lift Surgery

Proper preparation ensures a safe and smooth Temporal Lift procedure. Before your surgery, please follow these guidelines:

• Stop Vitamin E oil 1 day prior to surgery
• Stop smoking at least 2 days before surgery and continue avoiding smoking for a month after surgery

The Day Before Your Temporal Lift Surgery

• Ensure you have essential items prepared at home, such as ice cubes or ice packs, for postoperative care.
• Shower and shampoo before the procedure. Do not wear cosmetics, makeup, or skincare products on the day of surgery.
• Arrange for a responsible adult to accompany you and provide transportation to and from PAI's clinic where your surgery will be performed.

Length of Stay for Temporal Lift Surgery in Bangkok, Thailand

Temporal Lift Surgery requires a minimum stay of 9 days in Bangkok, Thailand to allow for consultation, surgery, and proper postoperative care.

• Day 1: Consultation and surgery
• Day 2: Rest at home or hotel
• Day 3: Able to read, watch TV, and perform light activities
• Day 4: Able to go outside
• Day 8: Stitches removed
• Day 9: May return to work

• Do not wear cosmetics on the day of surgery

Surgical Temporal Lift is a cosmetic procedure designed to correct deformities in the temple area caused by age-related loss of skin elasticity, weakening of surrounding soft tissues, and changes in the distance between the eyebrows and eyelashes.

Post-Operative Recovery After Temporal Lift Surgery

The recovery process after temporal lift surgery typically takes a few weeks. Patients will receive detailed instructions for proper at-home postoperative care.

During the first two days, doctors recommend applying cold or iced eye packs to help reduce swelling and bruising. Patients are also advised to sleep with the head elevated above the body, as this can help minimize swelling and promote faster recovery.

Most patients are able to watch television and read within two to three days after surgery. Patients may return to desk-based work after approximately three days, while those with more physically demanding jobs are advised to wait about one week. Although surgical scars may still be visible during early recovery, makeup can be used to conceal them once approved by the surgeon.

Scars are typically well hidden and gradually fade over time. Temporary bruising and facial swelling are common and normal after surgery. Some patients may experience mild emotional discomfort during this period due to visible swelling or bruising; however, these effects are temporary and usually resolve completely within a few weeks as healing progresses.

• Do not apply makeup near the incision until stitches are removed and your doctor allows it
• Avoid direct sun exposure on the incision area
• Do not smoke or drink alcohol, as these can delay healing

• Signs of infection such as fever or discharge
• Sudden changes in vision

Post-Operative Guidelines for Temporal Lift Surgery

For Local Patients
You may return to work within a few days after surgery. However, you should avoid rapid or strenuous movements for 2 - 3 weeks following the procedure. Stitches are removed on Day 7 after surgery.

For International Patients
International patients are advised to remain in Bangkok for at least 9 days to allow for proper postoperative care. Stitches are removed on Day 7 after surgery. You may resume work afterward, but fast or strenuous movements should be avoided for 2 - 3 weeks following surgery.
