On behalf of the organizing committee and the society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of
Thailand, I would like to welcome you all to the 23rd WPATH Biennial Symposium “Transgender
Health from Global Perspectives” on February 14th -18th, 2014, Bangkok Thailand, the first WPATH Symposium to be held in Asia.

This is an opportunity to bring together diverse professionals dedicated to developing best
practices and supportive policies worldwide that promote health, research, education, respect,
dignity, and equality for transgender, transsexual, and gender-variant people in all cultural
settings, which is the WPATH vision statement.
